Darkchild protege Jon Keith continues the story that began on GROW WINGSwith AND FLY; exploring what it means to live in the freedom of a life transformed. While its predecessor wrestled with breaking, longing, and falling apart, AND FLYcelebrates the beauty of new creation; where healing, joy, gratitude, wonder, and perseverance become the soundtrack of a life continually shaped by grace.
Featuring Chance the Rapper, DaniLeigh, Eris Ford, Torey D’Shaun, Dell Mac, Aklesso, and Tenroc, AND FLY is a celebration of the Gospel’s power to restore, renew, and redefine a life as well as an invitation to become beautiful again.
Driven by timeless songwriting, nostalgic soundscapes, sweeping cinematic production, and infectious melodies, the album invites listeners into a world where hope is tangible and every season carries evidence of faithfulness. These songs recognize that transformation unfolds over a lifetime, meeting every victory, every setback, and every ordinary moment.
“When I made this project, I was writing from the middle of my own life unraveling. I was carrying distress, longing, uncertainty, and trying to make sense of a season where it felt like everything was falling apart. Those songs became my prayers. They were an honest search for hope and a desire to believe that God could still bring beauty out of brokenness, even when I couldn’t yet see how.
Strangely, many of these songs were written before I had fully experienced the healing they describe. I found myself writing about freedom before I felt completely free, about joy before it became my daily reality, and about the faithfulness of God before I had seen the full picture He was painting. Looking back, these songs became companions on the journey. God used them to remind me of His promises long before I understood why I was writing them,” Keith reveals in a press statement about the inspiration behind his latest body of work.
